This month Invicta celebrates its 8th birthday. We launched officially on 17th March 2010 in Sevenoaks with just one brand, zero customers and 2 members of staff.
Today it has 4 websites, 7404 customers and 15 members of staff. Here are 8 things you did not know about Invicta Insurance Services.
Here at Invicta we are an avid supporter of local charities as well as participating in charitable events.
Invicta have teamed up with Kenward Trust, a local charity based in Yalding, Kent. Kenward Trust has a national reputation for excellence in the field of drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation. They take in around 200 residents each year across 8 buildings to help men and women transform their lives, as well as reaching hundreds of young people through prevention initiatives and helping others with advice and support. Last year saw the first classic car show to be held at Kenward House which was jointly organised by the Invicta and Kenward teams. With such great success and high demand, we have agreed to return again in September, bigger and better than before.
Every year, we adorn our brightly coloured and outlandish Christmas jumpers to raise money for Save the Children as well as staff participating in dragon boat races and bicycle rides to raise money for charities such as Stacey’s Smiles, Hospice in the Weald, CAF – Women v Cancer and Wear It Pink – Breast Cancer Awareness.
In addition to this, we also sponsor local classic car events and donated lifetime free household insurance for a well deserved family on DIY SOS: The Big Build, living on the Isle of Sheppey.
We have created 15 jobs in the local community. Our team has a combined 200 years experience in the Insurance industry. Every year we invite a number of people to join us as apprentices. We provide training and support to ensure that they can enjoy a career at Invicta.
Invicta has grown from strength to strength over the years through acquisition of general insurance brokers around the UK. Over the past 8 years we have acquired 19 general insurance brokers, most of which were based in Kent. We have a strong local presence whilst also serving customers around the UK.
The meaning on the name Invicta is well known in Kent and means ‘undefeated’ or ‘unconquered’. It is the motto of the county of Kent, England. The white horse emblem found on our logo/branding is the old symbol for the Jutish Kingdom of Kent, dating from the 6th–8th century.
We have administered over 63,000 general insurance policies since 2010. This achievement is mostly down to our impressive renewal retention as 9 out of 10 customers renew their insurance policies with us.
Invicta may only be 8 years old, but our foundations were built upon a company that was founded in 1965. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience as we combine traditional personal service with modern technology to provide insurance solutions.
We have organised, sponsored and attended over 50 events, including Classics at Kenward, Biddenden Tractorfest, The Independent Hotel Show, BNI, Sevenoaks Business Show, Edmondson Electrical (Gillingham) Anniversary Event, DIY SOS: The Big Build Isle of Sheppey, Grow Kent, Kent Vision Live and many more.
Each member of staff averages on 4 teas or coffees per day… and the occasional doughnut. We did the calculations that bring this to over 100,000 teas, coffees and doughnuts consumed during the 8 years of business at Invicta.
